Sustainable Seafood week

Sustainable Seafood Week is a Madison Area Chef’s Network initiative in partnership with Sitka Salmon Shares, Sea to Table, and many others to raise awareness on the importance of supporting sustainable fishing practices. From June 24–30 over 30 Madison restaurants will be featuring dishes on their menus that highlight sustainable seafood. There will also be several events throughout the week to celebrate our fine purveyors and their fishermen.

Join the Madison Area Chefs Network as we welcome Fisherman Andy Johnson of Door Country for a traditional fish boil. Fisherman Andy was born and raised in Baileys Harbor, WI and has been fishing his entire life. He has a commercial fishing license and has been hosting fish boils for 45 years. Dinner will include a plate of fresh fish caught Wednesday morning prepared by Andy, as well as coleslaw from Harvest and dessert prepared by Chef Molly Maciejewski of Madison Sourdough. We are so lucky to have Andy join us for Sustainable Seafood Week 2019 and remind us of the importance of supporting Wisconsin’s local fisherman.

Join us for a special sustainable seafood fish fry event! Presented by The Madison Area Chefs Network, Sitka Salmon Shares, and A Pig In A Fur Coat. Enjoy our West Coast vs. Mid West spin on a Wisconsin tradition. Tickets are $30 per person.  Cash bar featuring beer, wine, and a batched cocktail.
